The "Just Say Know"®, sexuality programs are growing and improving and we need your help...
The "Created To Be Me" ® camping program began the summer of 1988 at Lake Brownwood Christian Retreat Center with Linda Goddard, the designer of the program, as keynoter. Rev. Goddard published the curriculum for this "rite of passage" camp and continued to keynote with her husband, Richard, until 2004 when CLER Ministries began growing the keynoting teams and expanding to other states outside of Texas.
Our young adults of today are constantly bombarded with media images, the Internet, and television programs that promote sexuality as evil, dirty, or simply "the thing to do". Our ministry works to overcome this casual attitude about sexuality and works to present it as a loving, caring, gift from God designed to promote healthy marriages. Because the need for Christian based sexuality training is so important, there are many churches and individuals that want to make sure that this program continues and your financial support is crucial to this effort.
The need for this type of education was immediately recognized by other Midland churches as well as churches in surrounding communities. In 1986 Richard and Linda Goddard formed Christian Life Enrichment Resources (CLER) to handle the publication of Ms. Goddard's first high school curriculum, "...And God Created Them Male and Female... and Now What?!" In 1987 they published an elementary curriculum, "In the Beginning God Created." Workshops on Preparing for Adolescence for Upper Elementary Girls and their Parents and Elementary Boys and their Parents. Also in 1987 the Goddards published the junior high curriculum, "And God Saw Everything That He Had Made, And Behold, It Was Very Good!" A Workshop on Human Sexuality for Junior High Youth/Parents. In 1991, adult curriculum, "The Two Shall Become One" was published.
As with any ministry, financial support is crucial to its continuing success. CLER Ministries' Program is no different. Without the financial support from our friends and fellow Christian believers, this ministry would not be able to accomplish its purpose of maintaining a quality program. With the help of incoming financial support, we will continue to train leaders and upgrade equipment and resources that improve the quality of this program.
We ask that you prayerfully consider including CLER Ministries in your giving and together, we will continue to do God's work here on Earth.
Remember, CLER Ministries' is a non-profit 501(c)(3) ministry and all donations are tax deductible. |
